The Governing Board of the Low Impact Hydropower Institute (LIHI) certified four hydroelectric projects as low impact during its recent board meeting.

The projects, which were certified unanimously by the board, are: Clark Fork hydroelectric project on the Clark Ford River in Idaho and Montana; Arkansas River Dam No. 2 in Arkansas; the Alternatives Hydroelectric project on the Mumford River in Massachusetts; and the Penacook Upper project located on the Contoocook River in New Hampshire.

With the exception of the Clark Fork project which was certified for eight years, the remaining projects received five year certification.
