Vattenfall is to buy a combined heat and power plant located in Hämeenlinna, Finalnd, from Fortum. The peat, wood and gas-fired station has a capacity of 65 MWe and 95 MWth.
The sale is one of the conditions set by the Finnish Competition Authority for the realisation of the Eon Finland acquisition by Fortum.
The plan is to transfer ownership of the power plant to Vattenfall during the autumn.
