CTEC will execute the engineering, procurement and construction services contract valued at A$280m ($286.6m), as per the terms of agreement.
Forge Group managing director David Simpson said this is CTEC’s second project with Rio Tinto.
"In November 2011 CTEC was awarded the $150 million EPC Contract for the Open Cycle Gas Turbine Power Station Project in the East Pilbara," Simpson said.
"Since acquiring CTEC in January this year, it has already made a substantial contribution to the Group’s revenue."
"It has also opened up a new industry sector for other Forge subsidiaries, creating opportunities, particularly for Abesque and Cimeco to provide complementary engineering and civil, mechanical and electrical and instrumentation services to CTEC and its clients.
The company is targeting engineering site access in October 2012, main site access in 2013 and project delivery in early 2015.
