The news source reported that Forecourt Systems’s health and safety standards were compared to international standards as part of an audit in March 2008. The Det Norske Veritas (DNV) certification was finally conferred on the Irish firm after four months of diligence.

The DNV certification is reportedly considered important in the petroleum market as it helps improve the safety processes in an organization and also streamlines administration and planning, according to the news source.

Paul Farren, general manager of Forecourt Systems, as quoted by Petrol World, said: We are really proud to have been awarded the DNV certification. No other solutions provider in the petrol and retail markets has been able to achieve the safety standards to pass the audit, and we are delighted that the management systems we have put in place are internationally recognized.
