The company has earmarked about 5,000m of infill drilling to upgrade its existing inferred resource to indicated resource.

The results will be used to revise and upgrade the company’s 4.9 million tons at 15.8% Cgr (Carbon as graphite) indicated resource and 3.0 million tons at 15.6% Cgr inferred NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate published in December 2011.

Focus Graphite president and CEO Gary Economo said based on the historic, early exploration information inherited by the company from Lac Knife’s previous owners, there are clear indications the property may hold substantially larger volumes of graphite than its deposit holds.

"Lac Knife deposit remains open in all directions and at depth and we anticipate that our drilling will permit us to upwardly revise our resource estimate at the end of the program," Gary added.

Further drill program for 2,500m is also targeted to test a number of prospects located outside the current resource on the Lac Knife property, including immediate lateral extensions of the deposit.

This exploration drill program will determine the potential of the high priority surface graphite prospects identified from historic information and geophysical EM anomalies in the Southern lateral extension of the deposit.
