The order includes main steam isolation valves and main feedwater isolation valves to be used at the KHNP’s Shin-Ulchin 1 and 2 nuclear power plant pressurized water reactors.
Valves equipped with fast-acting stored energy actuators are designed to prevent the loss of fluid, from main steam and feed water lines, and close within 3-5 seconds.
Shin-Ulchin 1 and 2 reactors are currently under construction and scheduled for commercial operation in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
