Since 2001, the mine has been on care and maintenance, and is said to be a fully-permitted brownfields graphite mine.
The company said that the plant renovation is on track to recommence operations and production this month.
New equipment has been installed, crushing campaign of the feed stockpile is complete, wet commissioning of the plant is underway; tailings dam civil works and instrumentation and process controls.
In addition, the site lab facility is installed and is close for completion, Flinders said.
Flinders Resources president and CEO Blair Way said: "This re-start of production will place Flinders at the forefront of the graphite sector, with the ability to fill consumer needs and provide a sustainable European alternative to Chinese supply."
