The new warranty covers First Solar’s advanced Series 3 solar modules as of 1 October and demonstrates the company’s commitment to product quality and reliability.
The solar photovoltaic (PV) modules are also covered by First Solar’s prefunded collection and recycling program.
The company’s thin-film technology has been deployed in some of the largest PV projects to date, like the 80MW Sarnia project in Ontario, Canada.
First Solar managing director Stephan Hansen said in addition to the extended workmanship warranty, the company’s modules are covered by a 25-year power performance warranty-both of which enable it to meet the evolving needs of its global customers.
