enXco vice president Kristina Peterson said, " "First Solar has been and continues to be a good partner. Their technology remains one of the lowest LCOE solar PV solutions."

First Solar vice president Dana Diller said, "First Solar has a long-standing relationship with EDF Energies Nouvelles and we’re excited to extend this to the United States with enXco."

First Solar will deliver thin film modules from September 2012 for the solar power plant which will be built in two phases.

The first phase of the project is targeted to go online by the end of 2012 and the remainder of the project by June 2013.

Upon completion, the plant will generate enough clean energy to power the equivalent of about 35,000 homes annually and will offset about 74,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions every year.
