Peru’s first gas-fired combined cycle power station has been officially inaugurated.
Fuelled by gas from the Camisea fields, the two-year development was undertaken by Spanish Endesa and is the biggest, most modern and most efficient thermal plant in Peru.
The 492 MW plant required an investment of $135 million.
