A fire broke out at the PetroChina Dalian Petrochemical Corp in Dalian, China on 29 August.

This is the second incident to have happened at the refinery, owned by China-based PetroChina, in the last two months.

Firefighters are working to extinguish fire which broke out in a diesel tank storing 800 tons of fuel.

The fire incident did not affect the production of the refinery, reports Reuters.

PetroChina also intended to restart another crude oil unit with a capacity of 200,000 barrel-per-day this week.

The unit’s heat exchanger was ignited by fire forcing the facility to close in July this year.
