The company intends to invest €1.35bn to develop ten wind farms in Braila-Buzau area and in other parts of the European nation.
Filasa International general director Bernard Esquirol said the company will develop renewable energy projects in three areas; 897MW in Buzau-Braila, 500MW in Suceava and 700MW in Caras Severin.
"In 2013 we hope to have all the construction permits for Braila-Buzau," Esquirol said.
"We can install one turbine per week, so we estimate that by the end of 2013 or in 2014 the capacity will be installed. Full capacity production is forecasted for 2017."
Filasa International also plans to develop a 300MW photo-voltaic park in a 1,200ha area; wind generation capacity is expected to be approximately over 2,000 MW.
Technical evaluation of the project began in early 2012 for the projects, which are expected to be developed by Filasa’s project companies within the group, reports business-review.ro.
