Public Power Corp, the Greek electrical utility, is to fit wet flue gas desulphurisation (WFGD) plant to its 300 MW Megalopolis power plant, located in southern Greece under a €83 million turnkey contract with Alstom.
The order covers the design, supply of equipment, erection, testing and commissioning of the plant for the lignite-fired Unit III at Megalopolis.
The plant is scheduled to commence operation in the second half of 2008.
