Exterran Partners has completed the acquisition of compression assets from Chesapeake Energy subsidiary MidCon Compression, for around $360m.

As part of the deal, Exterran has acquired 337 compression units with a total horsepower of about 440,000, which are being used to provide compression services to Access Midstream Partners subsidiary Access MLP Operating.

Exterran and Access have signed a seven-year contract operations services agreement, in connection with the acquisition.

Under the agreement, Exterran will provide contract compression services to Access in regions such as the Permian, Eagle Ford, Barnett, Anadarko, Mississippi Lime, Granite Wash, Woodford, Haynesville and Niobrara Basins.

Exterran Partners is engaged in providing natural gas contract operations services to various customers in the US.
