This new addition to the OmniCure family strengthens the company’s UV curing by providing manufacturers with a high-powered, reliable LED technology in an easy-to-use, cost-effective system.

With a typical life of 20,000 to 40,000 hours, head replacement is reduced and provides customers with a compellingly low cost of ownership. The new LED head design also results in highly efficient cooling, maximizing continuous operation and minimizing down time.

With no mercury in the light source, the requirement for special handling, storage or disposal is reduced considerably. The OmniCure LX300 is EU and China-restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) compliant and conforms to CE regulatory requirements.

“As leaders in UV Spot-Curing, we realize the significant advantages of advanced LED technology, including environmental considerations,” said Allan Firhoj, vice-president and general manager of EXFO’s Life Sciences & Industrial Division. “The launch of the OmniCure LX300 responds directly to customer requests for a system that uses the most advanced LED technology in a compact, easy-to-use format, while allowing us to maintain our commitment to developing environmentally responsible products.”
