Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has submitted a proposal to the government's Planning and Investment Department to build two new hydroelectric power plants on the Pho Day river in the Yen Son district in northern Vietnam's Tuyen Quang province.

According to the Vietnamese News Agency the Hung Loi No.1 and Hung Loi No. 2 plants will be subject to invest by EVN and its Chinese partner, the Hang Nguyen joint venture company, worth a total of US$18M. The two plants will have a combined generating capacity of 9.4MW.
