The company will construct the project on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis for a concession period of 30 years.
Xintai plant will process 900t of waste a day, and is expected to produce approximately 70,000,000kWh annually.
The first phase of the project will be developed with an investment of CNY339m ($55.3m), and will have household waste processing capacity of 600t a day.
The waste-to-energy project is part of the Xintai City’s plan to promote harmless treatment, reduction and reuse of household waste.
