Enel Union Fenosa Renovables (Eufer) noted that this facility is expected to meet the energy demand of around 10,000 inhabitants in Galicia and is expected to save around 70,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
The Lugo wind farm has 13 wind turbines, each rated at 2.3MW. Construction of this facility began in January 2007.
