The European Union is supporting India's bid to join the €10 billion International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (Iter) project.
The project, under development by an international consortium of the EU, US, China, Japan, Russia and South Korea, is to be constructed in Cadarache, near Marseilles in France..
The EU is expected to propose Indian participation in the project at meeting in South Korea in the next week.
