Chilean water utility Esval-Aguas del Valle has selected i20's dNet smart water network solution.

Esval supplies water across the majority of the Chilean regions of Valparaiso and Coquimbo.

i20 along with its Chilean partner, Glemans will work with Esval to install dNet smart water network solution widely across the network.

The deployment of dNet solution will enable Esval to know more about network performance and offer improved levels of customer service.

dNet solution requires loggers to be placed at points of interest across water network and collect data from them. i20 claims that the dNet solution is a hassle-free and cost effective system and can also be upgraded seamlessly.

The data collected from the network will be stored and accessible to Esval through i20’s dNet enterprise data platform. Under the project, reports about the level of service must be submitted to the Chilean regulator SISS.

Esval-Aguas del Valle head of deputy manager of network development department Gonzalo Murillo said: “Esval needs accurate information about the pressure on its water network so that it can improve the supply to customers and reduce leakage and the frequency of bursts.

“i2O’s dNet solution offer us accurate and complete data that we can rely upon for decision-making.”

i2O CEO Joel Hagan said: “i2O technologies are already being used by more than 125 water companies in 25 countries around the world. We are delighted that Esval-Aguas del Valle has selected i2O’s new dNet solution to collect accurate and reliable data on its network.”

“Esval-Aguas del Valle, like many utilities around the world, faces increasing demand for water and has recognised that improving the smart capabilities of its network is crucial.

“We have specifically developed the dNet solution to provide water utilities with the ability to rapidly collect data that can be used to help improve the overall performance of its network.”
