GM is evaluating the sensors for prospective use as an OEM product in its line of automobile engines.
Erik Ulsteen, CEO of EPS, said: “This initial pilot order from one of the world’s largest automotive companies is a crucial step towards full commercialization of our product.
“Our ability to attract GM’s attention to our sensor at this critical and difficult time in their history speaks to the strength of our patent protected sensor technology. The impact on future earnings from a customer such as GM would be significant.”
EPS licenses, acquires, develops, deploys, and transfers technologies for improving fuel economy while also reducing environmentally harmful exhaust emissions.
Using advanced fuel treatment devices, EPS has developed a proprietary multi-phase process utilizing engineered flow patterns in order to restructure fuel hydrocarbons, which according to the company, increases fuel efficiency and produces a cleaner burn during the engine’s combustion cycle. EPS has a portfolio of technologies in production and development and continues to expand its patented product line.
