Serbian energy utility Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), plans to construct a 680MW Bistrica hydro-electric power plant on the river Lim in Serbia.

The project’s value is estimated at EUR 500m ($731m).

EPS managing board chairman Aca Markovic said that funding will be obtained from investors of Norway, Germany and China in taking part in the project.

Serbia based company Energoprojekt is expected to complete the feasibility study for the project, Markovic added.

China based Guodian Corporation has earlier expressed interest in the construction of the Bistrica plant, reports Hydroworld.com.
