Under the agreement, e-pay will be the recommended supplier of prepaid mobile airtime and other prepaid products at Caltex convenience stores, which are part of Caltex’s national service station network.

The signing of Caltex Australia strengthens the position of Euronet’s e-pay subsidiary in the electronic prepaid market in Australia. e-pay anticipates the roll out process to be completed by mid-July 2008 to all participating Caltex convenience stores.

Karim Sumar, national merchandise manager for Caltex Australia, said: Prepaid is a mission-critical part of our business. The security, scale and financial strength offered by e-pay’s prepaid business in addition to their leadership within the global prepaid industry were critical to our decision. We are very pleased with the e-pay team for enabling a seamless transition to their prepaid platform from our previous service provider, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
