“With this new supply contract we can meet Schwerin’s gas demand at competitive prices. The liberalised gas market opens up new opportunities for us to respond to the requests of our customers in an even better way. Our negotiations with a range of suppliers showed that at the end of the day, E.ON Ruhrgas is the least expensive supplier who can meet our needs in the best possible way,” said Rainer Beneke, managing director of Energieversorgung Schwerin.
“We are very pleased that the fair and trustful talks have led to a contract covering Energieversorgung Schwerin’s full demand,” said Henning R. Deters, member of the E.ON Ruhrgas AG Board of Management in charge of gas sales. “Our company can draw on a diversified portfolio of supplies from six countries, which include Norway and Russia with a share of 26% each, followed by German production and the Netherlands. Long-term supply contracts provide reliability and security of supply,” Deters continued.
