Entropic Communications, Inc. (Entropic) has appointed Vinay Gokhale as its senior vice president (SVP) of marketing and business development. Prior to this, Vinay served as vice president of wireless for SiRF Technology, Inc. In his new role at Entropic, Vinay will lead all facets of Entropic's marketing function including product management, product definition, technical marketing and communications, and will lead business development activities working with service providers worldwide.

Vinay’s broad experience base will be a valuable asset to the company as we marry the marketing and business development functions to drive adoption of Entropic’s technology.
Vinay joins Entropic as a seasoned semiconductor and communications industry leader with more than 20 years of marketing, business development and engineering management experience. Prior to Entropic, Vinay held a variety of executive positions at Conexant Systems, Impinj and SiRF Technology and has successfully led product development, strategic planning and many other corporate governance activities.

Vinay holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and earned both his M.S. and B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
