The company will buy the 450MW Hinds energy facility in Jackson, Mississippi, for about $206m and the 620MW Hot Spring facility in Hot Spring County, Arkansas, for about $253m.
Entergy Mississippi and Entergy Arkansas, the subsidiaries of Entergy Corp, are planning to invest in various plant upgrades at the facilities after closing of the transactions.
The acquisitions are contingent upon, among other things, obtaining necessary approvals, including full cost recovery, from various federal and state regulatory and permitting agencies.
