In January, 2014, EnerVault began commissioning the largest iron-chromium redox flow battery in the field anywhere in the world: a 250 kilowatt, 4-hour system capable of delivering 1 megawatt-hour of stored energy.
Located in Turlock, California, and sited on agricultural land in combination with a ground-mounted solar system, the EnerVault redox flow battery system will begin operation in the spring of 2014.
