EnerNOC will provide metering and monitoring equipment as well as cloud-based software that gives facilities managers access to real-time energy data, allowing for specific and timely actions to reduce energy consumption at colleges, medical campuses, correctional facilities, and other state buildings.

The company’s energy efficienct solution will help Connecticut to reduce energy use and costs at about 100 state facilities through 2014.

The initiative is part of a new Connecticut state program called Lead by Example, a partnership between the State’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Department of Administrative Services.

As part of this program, EfficiencySMART is expected to achieve significant savings to reduce Connecticut’s energy budget and help the State use energy more efficiently moving forward.

Throughout this project, EnerNOC’s energy analysts will also provide expert analysis of building energy use, helping the State to achieve continuous energy savings across the enrolled facilities.
