The company blamed lower mill head grade as the reason for the low production of uranium oxide despite higher volumes of ore milled and improved recovery as the Rehabilitation of the Ranger project area, in the Northern Territory, Australia continued.

Construction of the infrastructure to enable Pit 3 received tailings for final deposition was completed in January, and first tailings from the mill being deposited into Pit 3 in February, the company said.

Energy Resources of Australia reported $4m as the total evaluation expenditure for the March 2015 quarter, which was $16 m in the December 2014 quarter, and $6m in the March 2014 quarter.

The company also said that no exploration expenditure occurred for the March 2015 quarter. However, exploration expenditure of $3m occurred in the December 2014 quarter.
