Energtek, a company involved in the development of adsorbed natural gas technology, has signed a memorandum of understanding with a natural gas distribution company in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The agreement advances efforts to commercialize Energtek’s proprietary bulk storage and transportation technology in India.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) advances gas bulk transportation projects utilizing the primary elements of Energtek’s proprietary low-pressure mobile pipeline technology. Energtek aims to transport natural gas from India’s national transmission grid to a local city distribution network. The transported gas can be utilized by numerous industrial operations, and by one or more natural gas vehicle fueling stations.

To facilitate the mobile transport of Natural Gas, Energtek plans to construct its first filling station in India. The purpose of the filling station is to enable the transport of natural gas to the city distribution network, and provide Natural Gas to additional industrial consumers in the region. The station may also provide clean and affordable motor fuel to converted natural gas vehicles in the region.

Lev Zaidenberg, CEO of Energtek, said: With a constantly growing number of industrial consumers and over 80 million two- and three-wheel vehicles, India is in great need of alternative energy powered by adsorbed natural gas (ANG) and Energtek’s proprietary low-pressure storage technology. We are certain that our technology will provide drastic cost relief and environmental benefits to industries and drivers in India.

Energtek Inc. (OTCBB: EGTK – News), world leader in the development of Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with a Natural Gas distribution company in Uttar Pradesh, India. The agreement advances efforts to commercialize Energtek’s proprietary bulk storage and transportation technology in India.

Located in the northern part of the country, Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populous state with over 180 million residents and has undergone significant industrialization in recent years. As such, the demand for alternative energy sources by Uttar Pradesh’s commercial enterprises is growing rapidly.

The MOU advances gas bulk transportation projects utilizing the primary elements of Energtek’s proprietary Low-pressure Mobile Pipeline (LMP) technology. Energtek aims to transport Natural Gas from India’s national transmission grid to a local city distribution network. The transported gas can be utilized by numerous industrial operations, and by one or more Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) fueling stations.

Plans for the filling station call for it to be attached to the national transmission pipeline along a heavily traveled automotive artery in a densely populated industrial area approximately 150 km from Delhi.

With a constantly growing number of industrial consumers and over 80 million two- and three-wheel vehicles, India is in great need of alternative energy powered by ANG and Energtek’s proprietary low-pressure storage technology, said Energtek CEO Lev Zaidenberg. We are certain that our technology will provide drastic cost relief and environmental benefits to industries and drivers in India.

Energtek’s proprietary Low-pressure Mobile Pipeline technology enables the cost-efficient delivery of clean Natural Gas energy to industrial and commercial consumers at a fraction of the price of oil.
