Private hydro power developer Energo-Pro has acquired five new hydroelectric schemes with a combined capacity of 95MW in Turkey.

The power plants – Aralik power plant, Hamzali power plant, and Resadiye Cascade (three hydro power plants) – are located near the border with Georgia, North-East of Ankara, and near Tokat city. Two of the Resadive Cascade’s plants are currently under construction, with the remaining three projects having begun operations over recent months.

The Turkish acquisition adds to Energo-Pro’s expanding presence in Eastern Europe. The company currently operates 11 hydro power plants in the Czech Republic, eight plants in Bulgaria, 14 plants in Georgia, and has one project under development in Armenia.
