The Portoscuso wind power project comprises of 39 turbines, each with a capacity of 2.3MW.
Once fully operational, the 90MW facility will be capable of producing 185 million kWh a year, equivalent to the consumption of 70 thousand households as well as avoiding the atmospheric emission of over 130 thousand tonnes of CO2.
Enel Green Power currently has three wind farms in operation in Sardinia delivering over 240 million kWh per year from a total installed capacity of 161MW which, with the new Portoscuso plant, is set to rise to 250MW.
