The Portuguese portfolio of EGP has now been expanded to 642MW of net installed capacity.

The general shareholders meeting of ENEOP has approved the company’s split and allocate its 1,333MW of wind power assets to shareholders.

ENEOP was a joint venture between Enel Green Power España, via its subsidiary Finerge Gestão de Projectos Energéticos, TP-Sociedade Térmica Portuguesa (TP).

Finerge Wind, a new company that is equally held by Finerge Gestão and TP, will own the six wind farms.

Last month, EGP agreed to sell Finerge to First State Wind Energy Investments. The transaction was part of EGP’s strategy to optimise its portfolio and seize opportunities in countries with greater development potential.

Finerge develops, builds and operates wind farms in Portugal. It currently holds indirectly through subsidiaries a portfolio of operating plants with a total consolidated installed capacity of 126MW, as well as minority stakes for 292MW.

Last year, Finerge posted consolidated revenues of around EUR38m and consolidated EBITDA of about EUR 29m.
