EGPNA subsidiary Lindahl Wind Project owns the $220m project, which is anticipated to start commercial operations by 2017.
After completion, the wind farm will be able to produce about 625 GWh of electricity per year, enough to power more than 50,000 US homes. It will reduce nearly 450,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
The electricity generated and the renewable energy credits will be sold to Basin Electric Power Cooperative under a bundled, long-term power purchase agreement.

"The new wind farm also marks the Group’s entrance into a new state, North Dakota, further broadening our geographical footprint in the United States."
Since the start of this year, Enel started construction of four renewable energy plants in the US, including the Lindahl project.
The other projects include the 108MW Drift Sand wind farm in Oklahoma, the 400-MW Cimarron Bend wind park in Kansas and the 150-MW Aurora solar power facility in Minnesota.
EGPNA has over 2.5GW of total installed capacity in 22 US states and two Canadian provinces.
