With the appointment of Mr Rameau, the company’s board of management will consist of four people. The decision to expand the board is due to Eneco’s strategic challenges, including the development of its own electricity production and gas storage, the implementation of the Independent Network Management Act, the realization of the company’s sustainable strategy and the adjustment of its organizational structure.

Mr Rameau began his career at Eneco as strategy director in the beginning of 2004. He was later appointed director of the firm’s business division at the beginning of 2007. This division is responsible for the supply of energy to business customers, the purchase of and trading in energy, as well as the firm’s international activities.

Eneco noted that until further notice, Mr Rameau will combine this position with his membership to the board of management. The specification of his focal areas within the board of management will be determined in consultation with other board members, according to the company.
