The company is planning to set up a nuclear energy management unit, reporting to the general management for Spain and Portugal, to strengthen the management of nuclear issues. It has appointed Alfonso Canete as managing director for nuclear energy. He has experience in the energy sector, particularly nuclear energy.
The company will also set up an assistant unit for purchasing, planning and media to integrate the purchasing planning function on a global scale to enable new policies to be defined and implemented. This new unit will be headed by Felix Anoro, who holds a degree in economics and an MA from IESE.
The company is also planning to create an assistant HR unit to strengthen the implementation of current HR directives. Rafael Caracuel has been appointed as head of this new department.
In the general finance unit, headed by Juan Cruces, a policy of centralized financial management will be applied to the entire Endesa business group. The corporate development unit, headed by Jesus Clavijo, will also be reinforced, as a single analysis center, to enable new investment opportunities to be better identified and analyzed.
