Spanish Endesa has announced plans to invest more than €87 million developing three windfarms in Lerida Province.

The wind farms, located the towns of Olius and Pinós in the region of Solsonès, will have total installed capacity of 85.7 MW with 67 wind turbines in total.

The 42 turbine Pinós wind farm will be built in the mountain range of the same name and will have a total installed capacity of 35.7 MW. The budget for this farm is €37.31 million. The Torregassa wind farm will be built in Olius using 13 turbines with a total installed capacity of 26 MW and a budget of €26.1 million. And, the Villaró wind farm will also be built in Olius with a total capacity of 24 MW from a dozen turbines. The budget for this farm is €23.5 million.

The company expects to bring the three projects on stream towards the end of 2007 or sometime in the first quarter of 2008.
