The well, in central block 28/9, was drilled directionally with a hole angle up to 64 degrees to a total depth of 5,237ft measured depth (MD).
Initial analysis suggests 135ft of net oil pay over a gross reservoir interval of 135ft, equivalent to 64ft of net vertical oil pay over a gross vertical interval of 64ft true vertical thickness.
The company said that the preliminary log analysis suggests average porosity of 38%, with oil in the range of 80mmbbl-120mmbbl.
The current drilling program on Block 28/9 has been completed and following the completion of this well, the Transocean Galaxy II heavy duty jack-up rig will be demobilized.
