Elster has been selected by City of Dayton, Tennessee, US for supply of Elster EnergyAxis smart grid solution to power its advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) project.
Elster in collaboration with WESCO Distribution, will supply 8,000 residential and 2,000 commercial Elster REX and A3 Alpha Smart Meters, providing efficient and cost-effective delivery of electric services to the City of Dayton.
EnergyAxis will provide the City of Dayton with automated metering infrastructure, allowing it to modernize its infrastructure to provide customers with clear pricing and usage information through time-of-use rates.
Elster North America executive vice president David Green said EnergyAxis system will provide provides the City of Dayton with advanced metering services, reducing outages, improving operational efficiencies and delivering new customer services for the management of personal energy consumption and rates.
