Elster Solutions has introduced a new grid performance system called Callisto, which would transform how utilities optimize their Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems.
The company noted that its Callisto can elevate data into information that supports actionable intelligence.
Elster Solutions strategy vice president Joe Orlando remarked that the original driver for many AMI investments was meter-to-cash revenue recognition.
"Now, it is about realizing additional benefits from the investment in infrastructure and the wealth of data it creates for utilities," Orlando added.
"With a new focus ‘above the meter,’ Callisto supports our customers’ desire to have greater transparency and access to the information their AMI infrastructure can provide."
Callisto has a stackable plug-and-play modularity, demonstrating a designed to help utilities cut down their risk and the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
