Elster has unveiled its AC-800 commercial diaphragm gas meter, a compact, high-capacity, positive displacement meter designed for commercial and industrial applications.
The AC-800 enables customers to reduce their costs while maintaining high, long-term accuracy measurement and reliability.
The AC-800 is AMR/AMI compatible, enabling seamless integration with any advanced metering project.
The meter’s design incorporates a front mount index that enables the use of a lower cost residential style radio for automated meter reading or advanced metering infrastructure.
Elster Gas North America president Roy Sutterfield said the AC-800 diaphragm meter is an accurate, reliable, cost-saving solution that enables utilities to improve bottom-line results while simultaneously enhancing their customers’ and employees’ safety.
The new gas meter weighs half as much as traditional diaphragm meters, which facilitates installation by a single technician and reduces the possibility for injury, the company said.
