The company has already received full payment, which is valued in the low six-figures. It stated that Haiti’s proximity to its Miami headquarters enables it to ship out complete solar energy systems with a quick turnaround time.

Some of the parts for these systems were custom designed by the company, and were reportedly manufactured in house to guarantee the highest quality and timely delivery of all units.

Christopher Quinn, president and CEO of Electron Solar Energy, said: While the individual system price for this contract is relatively low, the order represents an important milestone in expanding our solar kit sales and assembly services in this key region. Like many economies with failing infrastructures and unreliable power sources, Haiti is moving towards adopting alternative energy, particularly solar energy.
