The company said that it expects to complete the construction by end of this year. The Lone Valley project has a 20-year power purchase agreements with Southern California Edison.
In 2013, EDP Renováveis has acquired the 30MW project, in the late stage of development, from Lincoln Renewable.
EDP Renováveis CEO João Manso Neto said, "the company is consistently committed to those combinations of markets and technologies where we see a clear positive path in the future. This announcement once again serves to confirm our strategy in this regard."
Currently, EDP Renovaveis owns 50MW of solar parks in Romania, which were built in 2012 and 2013.
Other renewable energy assets of the company are mainly wind farms.
