The site reportedly provides high quality wind energy potential and is located in France’s first wind energy development zone (ZDE). Its output is expected to be equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 75,000 inhabitants.

The Villeseque wind farm is equipped with 2.3MW wind turbines supplied by the German manufacturer Enercon.

For EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF-EN), this is the first in a series of major wind energy projects that it will commission in France by the end of 2008, including the 52MW Chemin d’Ablis facility in the Eure-et-Loir department and the 87MW Salles-Curan wind farm in the Aveyron department.
