EDF Group has reported that consolidated sales amounted to E59.6 billion in 2007, up 1.2% when compared to 2006. Excluding scope and exchange rate effects, organic growth stood at 2.5%.

In France, EDF reported that sales stood at E32.2 billion in 2007, with organic growth up 1%, including 0.6% in sales of natural gas and services and 0.4% for electricity. In Europe excluding France, sales stood at E26.1 billion, with organic growth up 4.4%.

In the UK, EDF Energy sales stood at E8.4 billion, with organic growth up 1.2%. In the networks, tariffs increases in 2006 and to a lesser extent in 2007 contributed to sales growth of 2%.

In Germany, group sales stood at E6.9 billion, with organic growth up 12.5%. The company said that the 21% increase in electricity sales reflects the very strong growth in sales volume in wholesale markets (up 16TWh), and to a lesser extent higher prices.

In Italy, group sales stood at E4.7 billion, with a 6.1% decline in organic sales. This evolution includes the decline in Edison’s sales, due in particular to lower gas prices and sales volumes, the company said.

In the Rest of Europe, sales stood at E6.2 billion and organic growth stood at 11.7%.
