Electricité de France has published its annual results for 2006 showing sales at € 58,932 million ($76 billion), with organic growth of 11%.

In Europe excluding France, sales, which amounted to 42.2% of the total, were up 19.7%. Net income was € 4,227 million ($5.5 billion), up 47.3%.

Announcing the results Pierre Gadonneix, EdF chairman and chief executive spelt out the company’s nuclear development ambitions saying: “As regards the future, EdF will continue to implement its industrial plan. The group also intends to take part in the global nuclear energy revival and to assert itself as the leader in the energies of tomorrow.”
