During the eleven-week consultation period, the firm expects the local public to have their say on areas such as the overall proposals for Sizewell C nuclear project, and associated development.
Locals can also opine about park and ride sites, accommodation for workers, and the socio-economic effects of the power plant construction.
EDF Energy Nuclear New Build planning and external affairs director Richard Mayson said the firm intends to speak with local communities in Suffolk and other stakeholders about the proposals.
"Sizewell C would generate enough electricity to supply one in five homes in Britain. It would make an important contribution to the UK’s future needs for low-carbon, secure and affordable energy," Mayson added.
"It would also create significant business, training and employment opportunities locally, regionally and throughout the UK."
The company plans to have two reactors called EPRs at the Sizewell C plant, which would produce low-carbon electricity for 60 years.
