Séchilienne Sidec’s wind energy portfolio currently has an installed capacity of 56.5MW while an additional five projects in various stages of development totaling 60MW.

The acquisition is consistent with EDF-EN’s development strategy and will help the company add to its existing wind energy portfolio in France.

EDF Energies Nouvelles Strategy, M&A and DSSA executive VP Emmanuel Jaclot remarked that the acquisition to aid the company strengthen its position in the market.

"Organic growth is the focus of our expansion model, but we are open to opportunities helping us not only to accelerate our growth, but also to step up our operations & maintenance activities," said Jaclot.

The operation and maintenance of the facility will be gradually handed over to EDF-EN subsidiary, EDF EN Services.
