According to the company, the granting of a mining licence from the Tanzanian authorities is an important requirement for the development of the project in the country.
One of the key components of the application is the Environmental Impact Assessment, which also compliments the mining licence submission documents currently being completed.
The company said it is preparing for Mining Licence application in Q2 of 2015 and once it gets the Mining Licence, it will allow the company to commercially mine coal from the licence area.
The Project is reportedly one of only three in Tanzania with this type of mining licence to extract coal; it will also present an opportunity for the company to sell coal to local and regional customers.
