By mid-2009, E.ON Climate & Renewables is planned to complete the Roscoe wind farm in Roscoe, Texas. When the final phase is completed, the wind farm will have 627 wind turbines and with a total capacity of 781.5 MW.
Currently, the company has an installed capacity of 1,134 MW in the US including:
Roscoe Phases 1, 2 and 3 632.3 MW Roscoe, Texas.
Panther Creek Phases 1 and 2 253 MW Big Spring, Texas.
Forest Creek 124.2 MW Big Spring, Texas.
Sand Bluff 90 MW Big Spring, Texas.
Munnsville 34.5 MW Munnsville, New York.
Despite these economic times, EC&R remains on schedule to deliver some of the industry’s most efficient wind energy projects, said Declan Flanagan, chief executive officer, E.ON Climate & Renewables. Surpassing the 1,000 MW threshold is proof that EC&R has the expertise and financial strength to meet the nation’s growing demand for renewable energy.
